Dallin's Seattle Mariners Bedroom!

Andy is a big fan of the Seattle Mariners baseball team. He said when we have a boy we are doing the room with their logo. We found some fabric online and asked my mom to make the crib bedding, quilt, and curtains. It turned out so cute. She did an awesome job. She even took a quilting class to make the quilt look even better. Andy's mom got some mariners decor to match the room. Andy painted the walls the colors of the team as well.

More pics of Dallin!

Ready to go to church. We just took him to sacrament meeting.

He had some clogged tear ducts so his eye looks a little swollen.

Thanksgiving Day!

Going to first doctor appt.

Dallin Thomas Grover

Dallin Thomas Grover was born 11/20/2011. Cool birthday huh? He weighed 7 lbs 14 oz. He was 20.5 inches long. He was born at 12:11pm. The labor and delivery went smoothly. My water broke Sunday morning at 5:00am. I was too be induced the following day, but he was ready to come early.

He is so adorable. We love him to death. Baylee and Sydney adore him already. They always want to kiss him. Sydney says, "I want to kiss her cheeky." She doesn't understand him and her yet. It is really cute.

We are so glad to have a new member of the family. It will be fun to have a boy. I am glad that I don't have one more head of hair to do each day. It will save me some time.

Girls weekend in Branson!

Me, Tanya, Katie, and Deon

We left Friday night and went to a Mexican restaurant. Then we went to the hotel and stayed up visiting. We woke up early unfortunately, but had fun visiting again. Then we ate breakfast and went to the outlet mall for a day of shopping. It was very rewarding. Then we ate at Olive Garden. We decided to drive home early and go and see a movie. It was such a nice trip. It was fun shopping without children. We will definitely have to do it again.

Baylee the Pioneer!

I have a friend who is an artist. She paints pioneer pictures. She is going to paint a picture of her son and Baylee. He is kissing her cheek. This is the outfit she got to wear. She looked so cute. The painting will be in an art exhibit in Texas.

Donuts with chocolate glaze and caramel apples!

Yesterday for Halloween I wanted to make some fun treats to have. I made homemade donuts and butterfinger caramel apples. It was so much fun. The chocolate glaze was to die for. I think donuts and caramel apples are my favorite treats ever. I haven't ever tasted or smelled anything better. Andy told me to never make them again because he ate too many. Here is the recipe.

Chocolate glaze for donuts and cakes:
5 Tbsp butter
4 oz. semisweet or milk chocolate chips
2 1/4 cup powdered sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
1/4 hot water
colored sprinkles for decorating

To make the glaze, fill the bottom pan of a double boiler with 1 inch of water and bring to a simmer over medium heat. In the top pan of the double boiler, combine the butter and chocolate and heat until melted. Whisk in the sugar, vanilla, and water until combined. Pour the glaze over the cake or dip each donut in and immediately decorate with colored sprinkles.

Preschool Halloween party!

The party was ok. They had fun games for the girls to play, but Sydney kept wanting to play on the toys, gymnastic equipment, and in the doll house. They wouldn't let her because they said it could be a lawsuit. It was annoying.

Work party and Trunk or Treat!

Friday afternoon Andy's work had a halloween party for the kids. They had food, crafts, face painting, cake walk, and a photo booth. Andy had to work so he didn't get to be with us, but we still had fun.

Later that night we had a church trunk or treat and chili cookoff. They didn't have any games, but the girls had a blast just running around the stage. I didn't get any pictures of them at the church.

Pumpkin Patch!

Saturday we went to a pumpkin patch in Missouri. Andy's cousin Devon and her family also came with us. It was so fun. The weather was great. They had fun activities for the kids to do for really cheap. They had a cow train ride, 40 minute hayride, and a giant corn jump. They had slides, basketball, and a water pump game. We had a great time.
