Christmas time!

Thanksgiving!

I think Baylee and Madelyn look a lot alike for cousins.

My parents and my sister Heather and her family came to share Thanksgiving with us. We really enjoyed having them here. We didn't take very many pictures. We didn't take any of the food either. Andy fried a turkey this year. It was really tasty and moist. My mom, Heather, and I enjoyed being in the kitchen together making dinner. We love to cook. It is a trait that was passed on to us from our Grandma Finn.

Andy, my Dad, Mark, and their 3 older boys played football on thanksgiving morning. It was freezing rain. Mark hurt his knee really bad. We went and saw Tangled that evening. It was the cutest Disney movie I have seen. Loved it.

At midnight on Friday Andy and I went to Walmart for the special deals, but didn't find anything we were looking for. Friday afternoon we went to Target and the mall and had fun shopping together.

Saturday we went to the Wild Wilderness Drive thru Safari again to show Heather and Mark. Then we went for pizza for Luke's birthday( 2nd oldest). After eating dinner we went to the gas station. Mark slipped on some ice and hurt his knee again. It was a bad week for him. Heather's two youngest were sick too. We did have fun even with the mishaps. Even with a small house, it was fun having everyone packed in together.

We babysat some children in our ward one night and they played dress up. Syndey had to dress up too. She came to me asking me to put on some high heels and a costume. She wore them the rest of the night. It was so cute.

I can finally put pigtails in Sydney's hair. Baylee had pigtails at 14 months.

Baylee and Sydney love each other so much. They really are so sweet to one another. When Sydney wakes up and sees Baylee she gives her a big hug. It is really cute to see. I love these girls. They mean everything to me.

Arkansas Razorback game!

Last night Andy and I got to go the last home football game. Andy's boss has season tickets and didn't go and let us have them. It was really fun. It was definitely cold, but it is always fun to go to a football game. We had to walk a mile to the stadium up the steepest hill. My legs were burning. Going back was a lot easier. We ran down the hill. In the first ten minutes of the game both teams scored two touchdowns. It was crazy seeing them go back and forth. After the first quarter the razorbacks killed them. The score was like 58 to 14. We left a few minutes early. Their was a Mom and son behind us that had the most southern accent I have ever heard. It was so funny to hear them talk back and forth.

Super Saturday!

We had our relief society super saturday yesterday. It was fun. They had lots of projects to do and provided lunch for us. Of course we had soup. I made this family home evening board. I am very proud. I even antiqued it and liked it. The word treat is a little crooked, but it is homemade. I haven't made the magnets yet with everyone pictures. They had some really cute temple ornament blocks, but I didn't sign up so I couldn't do them. They had some classes too. I learned how to make cute cake pops and decorative caramel apples. The apples were the best thing I have ever eaten. I made one with caramel first, then dipped in white chocolate, then sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar and then drizzled with more white chocolate. It tasted like apple pie. It haven't tried rocky mountain chocolate factories apples, but I bet this one tasted better.

Next stop Antigua!

This is a church built in the 1600s. There was a cemetery around this church that had people who were born in the 1600s. Andy was so fascinated. He loves history. It was fun to see how excited he got.

Antigua was not the best city to visit. We heard they have great beaches, but the city is very dirty. The people are annoying. They ask you every couple minutes if you want a taxi or if you want to buy their stuff. We went zip lining through the rain forest. It was fun until we got to the challenge tour they had at the end of the zip lining. It felt like I was on survivor. I wanted to quit. I was a little nervous to zip line. I don't know why because I love roller coasters, and want to go sky diving someday. There were 9 zip lines. I finally got the hang of it on the last one. I kept spinning down the line which made it not as fun because I couldn't see and wasn't going as fast. We were exhausted. That night we went to bed at 9:30. We were kind of boring.

This is their local bread. It looks like a turkey leg. It wasn't super soft, but it was good and fun to eat.
Piton Mountains again.

In St. Lucia we took a tour of the island for 6 hours. We took a van with 9 other people. Our driver (his name was yellow bird) stopped about every 10 minutes so we could take pictures of the island. We stopped at one of his friends house and ate some local food for breakfast. It was really good, especially the passion fruit. I wish the US grew passion fruit. The best ever. They also provided soda and bottled water all day. We didn't have to pay extra. We definitely recommend going to this island. They have 3 sandal resorts just on this small island. We visited the banana plantations, shops, active volcano, waterfall and botanical gardens, and the beach. We really enjoyed the island. We have never been to Hawaii, but this is what we pictured it to be like. We also drove through the villages. It was fun to see the people, especially the children. They were so cute. They were walking on the side of the roads in their school uniforms. It made me miss my girls.

St. Lucia

We visited some banana plantations. This is how a banana starts growing. I hate bananas, but these were good and sweet, but still mushy.

Barbados!

The first day was at sea. It was the formal night. I got really sea sick. I took some dramamine and that helped. Our first stop was to Barbados. We went shopping around the island. We forgot our sunglasses and flip flips. Andy forgot a hat too. We found some great sunglasses that didn't hurt our head. I have a hard time finding good ones. Then we went on a boat that took us snorkeling in a small coral reef. We saw 3 big sea turtles and lots of fish. They were really close to us. Then we went swimming in the ocean for an hour. It was a fun day.

San Juan, Puerto Rico!

We laid in a hamick for a couple of hours waiting to board our cruise ship. If was so relaxing.
Andy and I went on a 7 day cruise to the southern Caribbean. It was so fun. We had a great time. We didn't take the girls. Andy's mom watched them while we were gone. It left out of San Juan. We got to San Juan the night before the cruise ship left. We ate dinner at this cuban restaurant. It was so good. The next morning we ate breakfast at an oceanfront restaurant. It was a great day.
