Jamie's Prom Hair and Makeup!

One of my Laurels asked me to do her hair and makeup for prom because her mom was going to be out of town. I was so excited, until it was getting closer. I know how to do makeup, but not hair. I have only done my own and Baylee's. So last minute I asked Linsey (my sister-in-law) to come and help with the hair. I did Jamie's makeup. We did foundation, blush, eye shadow, mascara, and lipstick with shimmery lipgloss. She looked beautiful. I curled Jamie's hair with a 3 barrel roller curling iron. She already has naturally curly hair. So it just gave her lots of volume. Linsey did the updo. She did a great job. It looked so pretty, and what matters most was that Jamie loved it to. Thanks Linsey for your help. I could of never done it without you. I told Jamie to buy a black flower from Claire's to put in her hair. It made her hair look just perfect.

shopping cart!

The other day Baylee decided to take all the play food out of her shopping cart and get in it herself. She was having fun, but then wanted to get out. I wanted to take some pictures of her in it and she was not happy with me. I did get one where she wasn't crying. When I was a little girl, Ashley and I had a shopping cart too. We would dress our dog in feety pajamas and put him in the shopping cart. I thought it was funny that Baylee came up with this idea.

Easter!

I know that I posted a million pictures of Baylee in her easter dress, but they are all so cute. She was happy in some pictures and mad in others. Saturday was nice and sunny so we took pics the day before. Sunday it was cloudy, rainy, and cold all day. She sure loves candy. She takes after me, which is bad. She likes chocolate more than I do though. She is growing up so fast. I can't believe she will be 2 in a few months.

Blessing dress!

I made Baylee's blessing dress when I was in college and never really loved it. For some reason I put yellow ribbon and not the cutest lace. It was free from class so I guess that is why I chose it. Anyways I have been learning to sew and have really enjoyed it. I decided to take on this project of overhauling the dress to look like a new dress for the new baby girl. I took off the lace on the bottom of the dress which took forever and replaced it with this gorgeous lace I found at Hobby Lobby. Then I took out the lace from the sleeves and replaced it with the same lace. I put a new white ribbon to hang in front of the dress and replaced the button snaps on the back of the dress. The buttons never snapped and so I didn't want to have to safety pin it like I did with Baylee. Anyways this is the finished product. I am very pleased with it. I am very proud of myself of just experimenting. I know my Grandma would be proud if she could see it.
