Thanksgiving 2012

Andy, Dad, Taylor, and me playing Whirly Ball.
Thanksgiving Day with friends, and family.
Grandpa and the kids at Chick Fil A.
Callie and Dallin.  She was such a great helper.
Grandma and the kids playing a game.
We had a picnic and then went on a hike.  It was 80 degrees that day.  Way too hot for November.
 Preston and Baylee.

We had early Christmas with my family so we didn't have to ship the presents.
 All the cousins.

Grandma bought the girls matching christmas outfits They were excited to wear them to church.

Wednesday afternoon we had a picnic and went on a hike.  It was such a nice day.  Wednesday night all the adults went on a date.  We went to a barbeque place and then went to play Whirly Ball.  It was so fun.  It is a mix of bumber cars, lacross, and basketball in one.  We got to play for an hour.  Thank goodness because the last 30 minutes I finally got the hang of it.  The cars were fun to just drive around.  On Thursday Ashley, my Mom, and I cooked all morning and Andy fried the turkey.  Everything was delicious.  The late afternoon we went to Taylor's family friends for dessert.  Thursday night Ashley, Taylor, Andy and I went to Walmart for early black Friday shopping.  We didn't get home until 12:30.  Ashley and I were so tired.  We got hardly stand it.  It was fun to be together.  Friday morning we went shopping and ate lunch at Chick Fil A.  Saturday  we went to the movies and saw Wreck it Ralph.  It was actually really cute.  The previews didn't do it justice.  Sunday we went to sacrament and then drove home.  We really enjoyed hanging out with my parents and Ashley's family.  The kids didn't get sick until we got home.  We all got colds, coughs, and pink eye.

Dallin's 1st Birthday!

So Dallin's 1st birthday was not very special.  I felt bad.  I had to take Baylee and Sydney to school so Dallin got to ride facing forward in his big carseat.  He smiled the whole way.  For some reason he was super fussy.  He refused to take a nap.  He opened some presents.  Unfortunately he is allergic to everything but bananas, strawberries, mangos, rice, and potatoes.  So no cake for him. After school was out we picked Baylee up and headed to Texas for Thanksgiving.  Dallin cried the first hour an a half.  He finally went to sleep after he ate dinner.  We got to my sisters house at 9pm and he didn't fall asleep until 12:30am.  It was a rough day for Dallin.  Poor Dallin.  Hopefully he will grow out of his allergies.

We love Dallin so much.  He is the cutest, sweetest little boy ever.  He melts my heart.  I never understand the relationship that Moms and sons have, but now I do.  This year has been really challenging.  His allergies have been hard for all of us.  I have grown so much in my faith and testimony.  I am very grateful to have Dallin in our family.  Even though he has been a fussy baby this past year he is so important to us and we would never change anything about this year.

Dallin's first haircut!

 Before picture.
 After.
We buzzed his hair off last Saturday.  It was kind of sad.  He didn't like the vibrating.  I found some bad eczema on his head that looked painful so I decided to cut it off so it could heal better.  We didn't do a good job though.  Everyday this week I have had to keep going back and cutting his hair with scissors because I missed a spot.  Thank goodness his hair is so blond you can't tell too much. I will have to keep practicing.

Girls night out!

I always look bug eyed in pictures.

Some girls from our ward went to see Breaking Dawn opening night and went to dinner before at Red Robin.  The movie started at 10:00 pm which was great because I was in bed at 1 am and not 3.  The movie was so good.  Bella was a really good actress as a vampire.  Definitely her best one.  My friend Natalie (far left) looks like Bella and Tamara (far right) looks like Alice in the movie.  I was actually sad the Twilight Saga ended.  Thanks girls for the fun night.

Happy Halloween!

Baylee is a winter fairy, Dallin a pirate, and Sydney is a strawberry.  She has a strawberry stem that goes on her head, but she didn't want to wear it.
When they first tried on their costumes.  You can't really see Baylee's dress when she's sitting down.
At Sydney's Preschool Halloween Party.  Dallin had a blast crawling around and getting into everything.
Sydney and her friend Olivia singing the 5 little pumpkins.

At our ward trunk or treat.  Should of taken some pics inside.
Sydney's preschool class.

On Tuesday night we had our Ward Trunk or Treat and chili cookoff.  Like always it is chaotic.   Kids were running around everywhere, and the line for food was way too long.  I had to go back about 5 times to get everything we needed.  I invited my friend Nikki and her family to come.  It was so crowded no one even noticed she was visiting.  I felt bad.   She said she had a good time so I was relieved.  It was fun to see all the kids and adults dressed up.  I wish I could pull of a fun Halloween costume.  Halloween is just not my holiday.  Except that I love candy.  So just the costumes aren't my thing.  I have one Halloween decoration in my house.  I know, its sad.  Halloween is scary to me.  I never want my kids to dress up like a scary character.  As a child I never really liked to dress up. My Mom always had to convince me.  I do love seeing my children dressed up.  That is fun to see them get so excited.  I also love to make treats on Halloween.

Last night we went to Dan and Linsey's house for pizza and trick or treating.  It has become a tradition now. Andy and Dan's cousin Devon and her family came too.  Dan, Andy, and Neal take the little ones around while the girls visit and pass out candy.  It's always enjoyable to get together with family.  We don't see them enough.  The kids didn't go to bed until 8:30 both nights.  Luckily it wasn't a nightmare this morning getting ready for school.  Hopefully they can catch up on sleep this weekend.

Texas Trip

We went to Home Depot and they do a craft once a month on Saturdays.  They got to paint little fire trucks.
Sydney loved those goggles.
Sydney and Paige at Callie and Preston's soccer games.  It was freezing.  They are almost 8 months apart.  Sydney is very tall and Paige is so little.
Cuddling at the soccer game to keep warm.  Dallin didn't want to be cozy in the blanket.
 My Mom and Sydney painting.
Ashley and Callie adored Dallin.  Callie was so helpful while I was there.  She was a great babysitter.
The cousins just after they woke up.
At the mall on the toys.
Sydney in a fire truck at Home Depot craft day.

Ashley and I had our hair the same.  We went to Kroger and all the ladies there were confused wondering if we were twins.  We were in different check out lines.
Over Conference weekend my Mom came down to visit.  We went down to Fort Worth, Texas to visit Ashley and Taylor.  Baylee was in school so she stayed home with Andy.  They went on lots of dates.  We had a good time visiting family.  Ashley and Taylor just moved back to Texas from California.  Their new house is so pretty.  The cousins really enjoyed playing together.  Glad we get to go back for Thanksgiving so the cousins can play together again.  We don't get to see family enough.  Thanks Ashley for letting us come and visit.

Sydney's first day of preschool

Do you like my bow changing?  This one was too big.  She looks like Baylee to me in this picture.
This one too small and plain.

We ended up with this one.

 Sydney and her friend Bella.

Sydney is growing up so fast.  We love her so much.  She is so funny.  She loves to sing around the house.  She makes me laugh.  She loved preschool.  Her teacher said it seemed like she had been to preschool before.  I guess some of her classmates were crying, but Sydney was ready to play.
