They had all the Mondelez employees names along the pathway when we ate dinner Thursday night. Andy was a movie star for the night.

Andy's company won some awards and so they took all the people and their spouses on the sales team over USA) to a fabulous resort in southern California. It is called Terrenea Resort. It was built in 2006. In the 1950s it used to be a place called Marineland like SeaWorld. The Bachelor Jason and Molly were married at this resort. It is very fancy.
Thursday afternoon we arrived in LA. We took a bus to our Resort. It is located in Ranchos Palos Verdes. I love California. I love the style of houses and every time I visit the palm trees make me feel like I'm on vacation. We checked into our room and found out it had two double beds. We called the front desk and asked for a king and they said they would have something for us in an hour. We just relaxed and watched TV while we waited. We called again and they said room still wasn't ready. So we got ready for the party that night. It was casual and by the pool. It was freezing that night. They had great food for us to choose from. We visited with Andy's co-workers for a while and then went back to check to see if our room was ready. They said they had no more king size beds left, but finally lady found one that didn't have ocean view which was fine. When we got to our room Mondelez had North face jackets, a huge box of candy, gum, and snacks for us. I was so glad for the jacket because it gets so cold by the ocean in the morning and night.
Friday morning they had a continental breakfast for us outside by the ocean. It was a beautiful view. After breakfast we went to get our rental car. We went to the Los Angeles Temple. It is gorgeous. I can't believe how big it is. The landscaping is amazing. Then we went to the Getty Museum. It is located in the Santa Monica Mountains. You park and then take a tram up the mountain. It is an art museum of European paintings, mostly of Christ, Mary, and the apostles. They also had furniture and tea sets from france that were beautiful. The architecture of the museum was the best part. We also ate lunch at the museum. We had mexican food. It was so yummy. Couldn't believe how good the food was. After the museum we drove around Bel Air and looked at the fancy houses. We drove past UCLA. Who knew the university was located in Bel Air? Then we went to the Grove Mall. It is an upscale outside mall. Mondelez also treated us with $2000. I bought some UGG boots, toms, and a shirt. Andy didn't find anything he liked. Then we ate at a steakhouse and saw the movie Captain America. Wish we had fancy movie theaters where you can pick your own seat ahead of time. We got back at 11:30. We were exhausted.
Saturday was another continental breakfast by the ocean. Andy and I made appointments at the spa for massages. The spa allowed you to use their facilities so we sat by the pool and read books for a while. It was only 65, but everyone was laying out in their bikinis. I was the only one that was cold I guess. I had a prenatal massage and Andy got a hot stone massage for 60 minutes. They were fabulous. I went back to the pool to get some sun and Andy sat in the steam room for a while. Then we went to this nice restaurant in our resort for lunch. It was delicious. Especially the dessert. Then we went back to get ready for the award ceremony and dinner that night. They had cocktail hour for a few hours. Then we thought we were headed inside for a nice dinner, and they had the leaders from the company talk for a while, and then they brought out a guest speaker. It was Kari Walsh, the olympic beach volleyball player. She was so sweet. It was a nice evening.
Sunday morning we had pancakes and omelets for breakfast and then headed to the airport. It was the best trip. It was perfect timing. I was glad we could enjoy it before the baby came. Thanks Mondelez International for the fabulous time. I felt spoiled.
